lyrics

It’s been about a year since you made me face my fears,
But I’m finally seeing clear, and I don’t miss you.
It didn’t require beers or a waterfall of tears,
Just some music with my peers, and I don’t miss you.
And damn, does that feel fucking great to confess.
I don’t remember how long I’ve had that weight on my chest.
But in my state of depress-ion, I waited to mention,
My latest intention was our failing connection.
But hey, it was perfection, until you slit my throat,
And you knew that I’d be back because you still believe in ghosts.
Like a child who never grows past the age of thirteen,
Tries to make the world seem like her favorite worst dream.
Inhaled her first green, and laughing at the irony,
Thinking that I’m free, when she always has her eye on me.
But finally, you’re a fragment of my diary,
I’m moving on to page three, so you can keep your privacy.
And even then, we can call each other friends,
So the hours that we spend together never have to end,
But with my eyes, I’ll be looking through your clothes,
While you whine about the boys that you rode a la mode.
And you see what that does to me,
Crossing your legs to enjoy the scene more comfortably.
I’m just hoping that she’ll come for me,
But, coolie, I know better than to ask for Satan’s company.

Or I thought I did,
Now I’ll be looking at my phone, like it’s all I is.
Afraid to take the bait, and so I wait for her to cave,
But I’m the only one here who feels they needa be saved.
So I was easily swayed by the sway of her hips,
Or maybe it’s the way that she strips me with her lips.
But she don’t exist, she’s a figment of my pigment,
You don’t even have to tell me that this cancer is malignant.
I try to rip it out, with my mouth, spit and shout,
This is how we disavow, the bitches with their hissy fits,
Who itching for a little bit of riches for a Christmas gift,
They digging for that crystal, while I’m reaching for my pistol clip.
Only darlings deserve Prince Charming,
And judging by the name in my chest I’ve been carving,
You were waiting for the day that I left, but what’s alarming,
Is no matter how we crumble, we will always keep calling.
It’s been about a year since you made me face my fears,
But I’m finally seeing clear, and I still miss you.
It didn’t require beers or a waterfall of tears,
Just some music with my peers, and I still miss you.
